City EDS continue their NextGen Series campaign with a trip to Turkey to take on Fenerbahce.
Attilio Lombardo’s men claimed a first ever victory in the competition when they beat the Turkish side 3-1 last month.
It will be the team’s second game in four days after they were unfortunate to only draw 1-1 against Crystal Palace on Monday night.
City dominated that match, in what was probably Spanish playmaker Denis Suarez's best performance in a City shirt since making the switch from Celta Vigo in 2011.
They will be bolstered by the return of Jordy Hiwula who has missed the games against Fulham and Palace as he served England u19s on international duty for their successful UEFA European U19 Championship qualifying campaign.
Jordy flew directly from the England base in Estonia to Istanbul, buoyed by his goalscoring turn as England topped their group.
Fenerbahce are not to be taken lightly, however, as they showed in an impressive first-half performance at Hyde in September.
The visitors went in at half-time 1-0 up thanks to the inspired form of Beykan Simsek, a player the likely City defensive pairing of Kieran Kennedy and Ellis Plummer will have to be wary of if they are to climb to the top of their group.
We’ll bring you a full report on how the EDS get on shortly after full-time of the 16:00 kick-off on Thursday here on mcfc.co.uk.
