City EDS have been drawn at home to West Brom in the next round of the Barclays Under-21 Premier League Cup.
In its first year, the competition is one of five in which the youngsters are participating in this season.
Patrick Vieira's side booked their place in the last 16 with a victory over Stoke earlier this month and will now be hoping to reach the quarter finals with a victory over the Baggies.
It took two extra-time goals to secure the win against the Potters in difficult conditions. City finally opened the scoring in the 97th minute with a goal from Albert Rusnak and they sealed the tie with eight minutes to go, when 16-year-old Angelino netted after his initial volley came back off the post.
West Brom also needed an additional half an hour to progress to the fourth round. After grabbing a stoppage-time equaliser against Nottingham Forest, the Baggies netted the winner in extra-time to set up a tie with City's young guns.
Fixtures for the next round will be played in the week commencing 16 December but specific dates and times are yet to be confirmed.
