Eat like a player: Beef Charolais

Ever wanted to eat like a City player? Well now you can, with the Carrington City chefs revealing some of their secret recipes so everyone can enjoy the food the players are served after training.
The food is generally low fat and high in nutrients - as well as being quick and easy to prepare.

BEEF CHAROLAIS WITH SPAGHETTI
(Serves two)
Ingredients needed :
1 carrot
1/2 swede
1/2 celeriac
1/2 courgette
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
4 basil leaves
400g tin of chopped tomatoes
260g spaghetti
12oz beef charolais fillet
1 tsp olive oil
Method:
Peel the carrot, swede, celeriac and courgette and wash. Cut all into triangles and blanche in salted water for three minutes. Put aside for later.
Peel and dice the onion. Add the olive oil to a pan, heat and add the onions and garlic. After three minutes add the tomatoes and basil. Add a sprinkling of salt and pepper and simmer for 25 minutes. Blend the mixture and put aside for later.
Pan fry the beef fillet for three minutes, adding salt and pepper. Put in a 180 degrees oven for three minutes and leave to rest for 10 minutes. During this time, heat the pasta, adding butter, chives and basil then dress.
