Sam from the Ashton Under Lyne Blues provides his preview of Sunday's hugely anticipated FA Cup Semi Final against Chelsea.
A lot has happened since we went to Wembley for the semi-final back in 2011: we won the FA Cup, we went on another European tour, won the Community Shield and we became the Champions of England. Fair to say that with our success came a change in fans' expectations. However, one thing that hasn't changed in the two years since we were at the home of football, is that I am more excited about a trip to Wembley than ever before!
Having already beaten Chelsea on neutral ground to lift the Community Shield this season, an air of optimism lingers amongst us looking ahead to Sunday, and why shouldn't it?, we're a quality side who are familiar with these big game situations.
Chelsea also have some key players out through injury, not to mention that they played an important game in Russia on Thursday. A long flight back can surely only work to City's advantage.
Although it may well be a fatigued Chelsea side, we will still need our big game players to continue their current form and contain a Chelsea's attack that has been very effective this season.
After a dominating performance on Monday night against our quiet neighbours, confidence amongst both the City fans and players is bound to be high. This is something which is only going to add to that electric atmosphere we've created when visiting Wembley in the past.
I just hope that we have are very own Merlin fit to start on Sunday after his show-running performance against United; David Silva is magic.
The scramble for tickets is now over and the travel arrangements are all sorted. Like a child at Christmas we are all waiting in excitement for the big day. We're on the march with Bobby's army, we're all going to Wembley... And possibly even twice. Come on City!
