City septet receive England call-ups

Seven of Manchester City Women's stars have been called up to the England squad.

Karen Bardsley, Lucy Bronze, Steph Houghton, Demi Stokes, Izzy Christiansen, Jill Scott and Toni Duggan have all been included in Mark Sampson’s group that will travel to the USA for the inaugural SheBelieves Cup in March.

The Lionesses will face the top three FIFA-ranked teams in the world – USA, Germany and France – in the new tournament in America and all three games will be broadcast live on the BBC, with all matches streamed online via the BBC Sport website.

England’s opening game against the hosts in Tampa will be shown live on BBC One on Friday 4 March, 12.45am kick off (GMT).

Their second match is against European champions Germany in Nashville on Sunday 6 March, 10.45pm kick off (GMT), and the final game is against France in Boca Raton on Wednesday 9 March, 10pm kick off (GMT).

Midfielders: Katie Chapman (Chelsea), Isobel Christiansen (Manchester City), Jordan Nobbs (Arsenal), Jill Scott (Manchester City), Fara Williams (Arsenal).

Forwards: Eniola Aluko (Chelsea), Karen Carney (Chelsea), Gemma Davison (Chelsea), Toni Duggan (Manchester City), Fran Kirby (Chelsea), Jodie Taylor (Portland Thorns).
