Happy International Women's Day 2016!
On this date, the world salutes its strong and inspirational women - and we have plenty of those at City, from the staff to the stars who take to the pitch for Manchester City Women.
The team itself boasts role models who have achieved incredible things in their careers and are encouraging others to follow their ambitions and feel more confident.
To celebrate this, Club photographer Victoria Haydn decided to snap a couple of our Blue stars - and World Cup bronze medal winners - in an exclusive photoshoot to commemorate IWD 2016 and Mother's Day.
England captain Steph Houghton and fellow Lioness Lucy Bronze - both inspirational on and off the pitch - posed in front of the camera alone and with their proud mothers. Here are some of the best shots plus quotes on their achievements...
"Steph is very focused, level-headed, talented, thoughtful and very mature. She's such a beautiful person inside and out - so down to earth, with a caring personality and she's very funny."
"I am overwhelmingly proud of what she has achieved. The day we received news that she had been asked to play for England, we couldn’t hold in our excitement!"
"I would tell all young girls today to be focused, and go for your dream. As Steph has shown, anything is possible. Dreams can come true."
"My Mam is the most caring mum you can ask for. We have a great relationship. She understands how busy we can be with football but continues to be there whenever I need her, to speak and to catch up, whether I'm on a high or a low. As the years have gone on, we have got so much closer and I love her to bits!"
"I'm still in a state of disbelief at what's Lucy has achieved. The minute she could walk, she had a ball at her feet. When she was about four, she said she wanted to be a footballer when she grew up. We wore out our video of Bend It Like Beckham!"
"At City, she's found a place where she can play the game she loves and be comfortable as a person. She's found a voice. It's all about being part of a team for her."
"I can say teenage boys have queued up for her autograph! That's amazing because it means young girls who play football are respected. I love seeing that."
"My mum is a very proud mum - of me, my brother and my sister. She's very close to us and she lives her life for her children. She always said I should do what makes me happy. She never wants thanks for anything - she just wants to see us be happy and successful."
After the international break, MCWFC's England stars will return to Manchester to prepare for the new Women's Super League season. 2016 Seasoncards are now on sale so you can guarantee your seat for all MCWFC home games, including the UEFA Women's Champions League.
To celebrate the big kick off we're also giving fans the opportunity to meet Steph Houghton and Toni Duggan. Find out how you can win this special visit.
