City’s Under-18s grabbed a dramatic late winner against FA Youth Cup semi-finalists Sheffield United this morning – their first win on the road since January 15
The young Blues are now unbeaten in four games, but had to battle hard for three points against a well-organised Blades team.
Kieran Kennedy scored his fourth of the season on 40 minutes when he tucked home a Bradley Robinson corner to give City the lead, but the hosts equalised just before the break when Courtney Meppen-Walter was penalised for a clumsy challenge in the box and the penalty was dispatched past Erik Johansen.
Either side could have taken the points after the break, but the game appeared to be heading for a draw when George Evans shot was turned in by a Sheffield defender with the last kick of the game.
