City U18s are now unbeaten in eleven games following Saturday’s 1-0 away at Reading.

Aaron Nemane struck in the 77th minute to make it two wins from two for City in the Barclays U18 Premier League final stage.

Jason Wilcox made three changes to the side that beat Chelsea 4-3 last weekend with Tom Dele-Bashiru, Rodney Kongolo and Paolo Fernandes replacing Marcus Wood, Will Patching and Brahim Diaz.

The young Blues dominated for the majority of the first half and tested the Reading goalkeeper on numerous occasions.

Both Lukas Nmecha and Fernandes had chances to open the scoring but were left frustrated by the Reading shot stopper, who denied them on both occasions.

However, the pressure did pay off as Nemane fired Wilcox’s side into the lead with just thirteen minutes to go.

City were able to hold on following the late strike to ensure that the three points would be heading back up the M6 to keep them at the top of the Barclays U18 Premier League final stage.
