As part of the agreement that brought Polish star Kazimierz Deyna to Manchester, City take on Legia Warsaw Maine Road for an ‘international friendly’. The game attracts a crowd of less than 15,000 and the Blues lose 2-1.
Monday 12 August 2003
Antoine Sibierski scores his first goal in City colours as City reserves draw 1-1 with Wolves at Hyde. A decent crowd of 943 turn out to see the opening game of the campaign. Sibierski went on to play for Norwich City, Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic after his time at City.
