Looking back through the history books for the events, signings and memorable matches that happened on this day in City’s history.
Saturday 12 December 1998
City remain well off the promotion pack with yet another disappointing display at Maine Road. Bristol Rovers leave with a 0-0 draw, leaving City in ninth spot in the third tier of English football. The point means Joe Royle’s side are already 14 points behind leaders Stoke and seemingly set for another season down amongst the dead men.

City record their fifth league win in seven games as Dennis Tueart (pictured above) scores the goal that proves enough to claim the points in a 1-0 win at Coventry. The Blues move up to seventh having been in 16th just seven weeks before and Joe Corrigan claims his eighth clean sheet in 20 outings, too.
