Midfielder Georgi Kinkladze signs for the Blues from Dinamo Tbilisi for £2m.  

Little was known of 21-year-old when he signed for City other than he scored a sumptuous goal against Wales, once played for Boca Juniors and his hero was Diego Maradona. 

New manager Alan Ball claims the Georgian will have the City fans 'hanging from the rafters' to watch him play.’ Ball is proved correct as Kinky proves to be one of the most gifted players ever to don a sky blue jersey, though his time with City coincides with the club dropping two divisions in three years.
