Monday 22 July 1991

Former YTS forward Ashley Ward leaves for Leicester City after making just one senior appearance for the Blues. Far from simply drifting down the leagues and eventually out of football, Ward’s playing career lasts 14 seasons during which time he makes more than 400 appearances for ten different clubs including Blackburn Rovers, Derby County and Norwich City. 

Ward also becomes a successful property developer after football, renovating luxury homes for several top footballers including Wayne Rooney.
