Looking back through the history books for the events, signings and memorable matches that happened on this day in City’s history.
Wednesday October 25th 1994
Brian Horton’s attack-minded City travel to Loftus Road for the second time in 10 days in search of a place in the last 16 of the League Cup. It was to be an epic encounter with goals and incident galore as both sides went flat-out for victory but it was the red and black striped visitors who edged the seven-goal thriller. The pick of the goals was Nicky Summerbee’s acrobatic volley that flew into the roof of the net, with Steve Lomas, Peter Beagrie and a Keith Curle penalty completing a memorable 4-3 win.
