Looking back through the history books for the events, signings and memorable matches that happened on this day in City’s history.
Saturday 30 October 2010
City go ahead through an Emmanuel Adebayor penalty but, despite dominating the first-half, somehow lose 2-1 to Wolves at Molineux. The defeat is a blow to Roberto Mancini’s side who had hoped to strengthen their Champions League hopes.
Saturday 30 October 1971
Colin Bell’s 100th appearance comes in a 1-1 draw away to Huddersfield Town. The point against a side second-bottom underlines the Blues’ problems away from Maine Road where they had now won just one of their seven league games. In contrast, City had won seven out eight on their own turf, scoring 16 goals and conceding just two.
Saturday 30 October 2006
Richard Dunne’s 23rd minute goal is enough to give the Blues a rare 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at the then-named City of Manchester Stadium. Boro had enjoyed many successes against the Blues in the past decade and this victory will start to turn the tide against Teessiders.
Saturday 30 October 1982
Goals from Dennis Tueart and Asa Hartford give the Blues a 2-1 win over John Toshack’s Swansea City at Maine Road and extend City’s impressive form.
