City go ahead through an Emmanuel Adebayor penalty but, despite dominating the first-half, somehow lose 2-1 to Wolves at Molineux. The defeat is a blow to Roberto Mancini’s side who had hoped to strengthen their Champions League hopes.

Colin Bell’s 100th appearance comes in a 1-1 draw away to Huddersfield Town. Richard Dunne’s 23rd minute goal is enough to give the Blues a rare 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at the then-named City of Manchester Stadium. Boro had enjoyed many successes against the Blues in the past decade and this victory will start to turn the tide against Teessiders.
