Goals from Abdi Ibrahim and Harry Bunn continued City's Elite Develpoment squad's impressive pre-season this afternoon at Barrow.

A strong wind at Holker Street meant that despite looking comfortable in the first half, City struggled to get out of their own half - and when they did, a mixture of poor finishing and several excellent saves from Barrow 'keeper Stephen Drench kept the scores level until the break.

The Blues, featuring several players who have only recently returned from the club's US tour, took command after half-time and with the wind now behind them, finally went ahead on 65 minutes when Tom Smith's clever cross found Ibrahim who planted a header past Drench.

The Blue Square side had little in the way of a response and substitute Harry Bunn tucked home the decisive second goal for City with a low drive across the keeper who again had no chance.

With a number of travelling Blues among the 600 or so crowd, City played out the remaining minutes in complete control.

City: Gonzalez, Smith, Helan, Veseli, Kay, Ibrahim (Roman 80), Etuhu (Omar 60), Tutte (Benali 60), Caicedo (Razak 60), Guidetti (Bunn 65), Poole (Abu 60)
