A day after the transfer window closed for another January, Micah Richards – no stranger to speculation himself, has pledged his future to the Club.

Facing the press ahead of tomorrow’s home clash with Arsenal, the England international answered questions regarding his City future and signing a new deal.

He said: “It’s not important – I’ve got two and a half years left on my contract – I’m not going anywhere. These things don’t happen overnight, they take time.

“There’s no timescale. As I’ve said before, I’ll leave that side to the people I trust, they are looking after it and when it’s ready to be signed it’ll be signed.

“Like I’ve said previously – I’m happy to sign for the Club.”

When asked how long he would re-sign for with the Blues, Micah added: “As long as I can – however long the Club offer me I’ll sign.”

Micah also had message to the fans. “One hundred per-cent I’m signing for the Club,” he stated.

“There’s nothing to be worried about, things don’t happen overnight and I’m definitely not going anywhere.”
