The morning after the day before - City players arrive at Carrington having just avoided a plethora of predictable headlines about the oldest knocking richest out of the cup, blah, blah, blah. You get the picture!
Jerome Boateng is one of the first to arrive with a now familiar saunter from the car park to reception. His hopes of laying a towel on the best placed exercise bike are dashed however - team-mates Edink Dzeko and Vincent Kompany have got there first! Not sure why Gareth Barry has been sent to Coventry, though - maybe he forgot his Lynx Africa?
And City play-maker David Silva has beaten the boy Boateng in, too. In fact, looks like Jerome is anything but the first in...
Meanwhile, ahead of training, post match analyst Ed Sulley dissects where things went right and wrong during the previous day's 1-1 draw with Notts County. Ed picks the bones out of the footage to highlight areas where things can be improved, both individually and as a team. Either that or he's doing his on-line shopping at Tesco.
At last it's time to get on with the main session. The cones are laid and ready and some of the lads begin with a game of head tennis, no doubt inspired by Scotland's Andy Murray and his expolits Down Under. Or maybe not. And don't worry - the Blues haven't reloacted to Yeovil's sloping Huish Park pitch - club photographer Sharon Latham took this shot while on a trampoline.
Atillio Lombardo watches on as Kompany takes on Kolarov for the title of 'Special K' - when we last heard, Vinny was two sets to love up on Aleksandar (the not-so-great at tennis).
As the session draws to a close, club doc Jamie Butler and Lombardo perform an impromptu scene from The Benny Hill Show (Google him, kids!). Because the action thereafter sped up and was accompanied by the Benny Hill theme, our Sharon decided enough was enough for today.
