Autumn kicked in with a vengeance and goals galore this month - and was that the wind of change we felt blowing through the Premier League's higher echelons?
Only time will tell on that one. But you can pick out the Blues player you think was October's shining star right now in the battle for the Etihad Player of the Month Award.
And with a perfect six out of six victories, including that derby delight at Old Trafford, there's no shortage of candidates to succeed September winner David Silva.
October was a superb month for Mario Balotelli, who scored four goals and was voted man of the match against Aston Villa. His two goals against Manchester United won’t have done him any harm, either!
James Milner is a strong candidate following a fantastic October. Milner played starring roles in the wins over Blackburn, Aston Villa and Manchester United, and should be there or thereabouts when the votes are counted.
Gareth Barry, City’s Mr Dependable, continues to work tirelessly for the team while never hogging the limelight. He gives the team vital balance and helped turned the Villarreal game around after coming on as sub.
Micah Richards continues to impress at club level, even if he overlooked by England boss Fabio Capello. His barnstorming display against Manchester United proved he is one of the best full-backs in Europe and he is a strong challenger for this award.
Then, inevitably, there's David Silva. Have we reached a stage when his brilliance is almost expected? Silva has been breathtaking yet again, and was at his sublime best against Manchester United, with a hand in four of the Blues’ six goals.
The polls close at midnight on Sunday, so don't delay! Take your pick and you'll have a chance of presenting the Etihad Player of the Month award to the winner in person, so vote now.
