The feeling was good around the Etihad Stadium prior to kick-off against Wigan.

Adam Johnson and Sergio Aguero were in high spirits on arrival from the team hotel, but then, that's what a 100% winning start to the new season can do for a team.

There was a hive of activity around the ground, too, with the superstitous Blue mysteriously known only as 'The Bell Ringer' appearing in CitySqaure to send out the chimes on the dot at 2.45pm. Big Helen would be very proud...

Meanwhile, presenter Natalie Pike was busy winding up her segment on Live From CitySquare with the start of the match fast-approaching.

At last, time for kick-off and Micah Richards can't quite get to grips with his bottled water. It's his fifth attempt at taking a swig but this one fails to reach the target, too. The anguish is written all over his face but Yaya Toure seems to be doing a better job - though it looks more like he's playing a trumpet...

"I've been expecting you Mr Bond..."

Edin Dzeko gives us his best mischievous glance before demanding $1billion dollars from world leaders to come off the bench and score. Negotiations are on-going.
