Roberto Mancini is warning his players that the rocky road to the title is strewn with pitfalls, starting with the visit of relegation battlers Blackburn.

While his Barclays Premier League leaders remain unbeaten at the Etihad Stadium, the Blues boss has noted improved Rovers' return of seven points from their last five games.

Despite a 7-1 defeat at Arsenal, Mancini is well aware that Steve Kean's team triumphed at Old Trafford on their last visit to Manchester to end a dismal 2011 on a bright note.

City's boss said: "It will be hard for us now until the end of the season, because every game in the Barclays Premier League is difficult.

But we don't need to worry about what other clubs do. We need only to focus on ourselves

"There are 13 games left, if we win them, then we will win the title.

"It is important that we play well against Blackburn - in the last few weeks they have had some good results. They won away against United, and they have been playing well.

"It's not important that Blackburn are near the bottom of the table, because we know that every game in the Premier League is difficult."

Mancini willl re-shuffle the side that swept holders Porto out of the Europa League on Wednesday night: "We'll need to change the team, you must if you play every three days."
