The January transfer window officially opened as Big Ben finished chiming last night and for the next 31 days, we’ll be scouring the Press for the latest transfer rumours regarding City.
To kick-off, there’s likely to be more outs than ins if today’s reports are anything to go by.
The Carlos Tevez stories will no doubt reach fever pitch with AC Milan still seemingly in the box-seat, though Paris St Germain and Tottenham continue to be mentioned as possible destinations for the Argentine striker.
Arsenal’s left-back crisis means Wayne Bridge is once again linked with a loan deal with the Gunners, but you’d imagine that would happen sooner rather than later with Arsene Wenger currently missing three players in that position.
Mario Balotelli to Inter or AC Milan is something of a non-story, though his name always attracts attention. The Mail’s snippet also quotes Mario as saying he isn’t looking to leave City any time soon, but expect more of the same in the coming days.
Despite Roberto Mancini’s comments regarding Lille playmaker Eden Hazard, there are still several stories linking the player with a mega-bucks move to City but there seems little substance to the rumour.
The Independent have a complete list of every Premier League’s supposed transfer targets and predicts Roma’s Daniele De Rossi, Hazard, Alexandre Pato and Fiorentina’s Alessio Cerci are all on the Blues’ radar and Sky Sports also carry a De Rossi story.
There will be more to come as the days go by….
