Window shopping: Day seven

Window shopping? On derby weekend there's only one game in town, and the media put their transfer investigations on hold while all hands pile in for the big previews.
So there's no room, for example, for pictures of Carlos Tevez dining out in Milan, which we're given to understand has a choice of restaurants rather than Manchester's measly two.
Nor to rehash, yet again, the Wesley Sneijder links that Inter sporting director Marco Branco has already denied officially but will doubtless do so again in the coming days.
But we don't give up here. Oh no. We keep on keeping on until we unearth something, regardless of the FA Cup third-round tie that has gripped the nation (copyright all newspapers).
So here's not just any old scrap of transfer gossip, gleaned from a bloke in a pub whose brother-in-law knows an agent's auntie. No, this is Scandinavian gold, mined in Oslo.
Martin Samuelsen might sound like a budding Norwegian sportswriter, but click-manchester.com are reporting that he is a new City signing. For the Academy squad, that is.
They write: "Manchester United have lost out in the race for Norwegian prospect Martin Samuelsen.
"United were battling neighbours and title rivals Manchester City for the 14-year-old midfielder.
"Samuelsen trained with United, Liverpool and Spanish giants Real Madrid. However, he has been snapped up by Manchester City's Academy."
And that's it. We're sure the Sunday papers will have a few tales tucked up their sleeves though ...
