Karim Rekik’s Netherlands u19s snatched a place at this summer’s UEFA Euro u19 Championships with a dramatic last gasp win over Germany.

Germany, Netherlands, Cyprus and Norway were all locked on three points going into the final day’s play and as the games entered stoppage time, Holland were heading out of the competition.

However, a goal after 92 minutes from Theo Haye sent Rekik’s Dutch side to Lithuania 2013 at the expense of Germany.

Netherlands captain Rekik played the 90 minutes in all three games and is expected to keep his place for this summer’s tournament which kicks off on 20 July.

The 18-year old signed a long-term deal with the Blues in December last year and made his Premier League debut against Reading the same month.

He partnered Vincent Kompany in the heart of defence in May's 4-3 win over Chelsea in St Louis.
