Ten City players could be in action for their countries on Friday as the next round of 2014 World Cup qualifiers gets underway.

There are six games taking place on Friday March 22 which could feature City representatives as European teams attempt to book their place in Brazil. All kick off times are UK time.

San Marino v England

The trio of Joe Hart, Joleon Lescott and James Milner will all be hoping to claim starting places for England when they take on San Marino.

Hart, who remains England’s undisputed number 1, is England’s only player to have featured in every minute of their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign so far and that seems unlikely to change.

With Roy Hodgson’s side short of defensive options and experience, Lescott will also be reasonably confident of a starting berth.

The Three Lions will be aiming for a repeat of the last time they met the Group H minnows, when they enjoyed a 5-0 stroll at Wembley last October.

Kick off is at 8pm.

Croatia v Serbia

Elsewhere around Europe, City’s Serbian pair, Aleks Kolarov and Matija Nastasic face Croatia in an early evening kick off.

Serbia are struggling in group A and are six points behind the top two with four games played. However, given Croatia occupy second place, this could prove a good opportunity to make up some ground.

The City duo are first choice in defence for their country, and are both likely to see 90 minutes of action in Zagreb.

That match kicks off at 5pm.

Bosnia-Herzegovina v Greece

Bosnian Diamond Edin Dzeko is set to lead his country’s attack in a vital clash with Greece.

The striker already has 51 caps to his name and has recorded a goal every two games for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Neither side could break the deadlock last time they faced each other, as they played out a 0-0 stalemate in October.

It should be a close encounter as both sides sit on ten points at the top of Group G, with Dzeko and his team just edging it on goal difference currently.

Kick off is at 7.45pm.

France v Georgia

Gael Clichy’s France face Georgia, who are just a place behind them in Group I. They’ll also be using the home fixture to prepare for their mouthwatering encounter with Spain next week.

With 16 caps to his name so far, Clichy will be expecting to add to that total in Friday’s encounter.

Kick off is at 8pm.

Spain v Finland

David Silva will be confident of a starting place for La Roja when they take on Finland, as well as against teammate Clichy on Tuesday.

Predictably, Spain are top of the pile in Group I but France are level on points with an inferior goal difference.

Javi Garcia has also been called up but will do well to win his second international cap in a midfield packed with the likes of Xavi and Iniesta.

Kick off is at 7.45pm.

Hungary v Romania

Costel Pantilimon will also be hoping to get the nod between the sticks for Romania when they visit Hungary in Group D.

Romania currently occupy third place in that group, but are just three point behind the Netherlands in top spot so these two games could prove crucial.

Kick off is at 7.30pm.
