Joe Hart and James Milner have been selected as part of the England squad for two crucial World Cup Qualifying fixtures against Poland and Montenegro.

The City duo have been regular fixtures in starting line-ups under Roy Hodgson, and will be hoping to carry on that tradition as the Three Lions aim to book their place at Brazil 2014.

Hart and Milner are likely to face off against their clubmate Stevan Jovetic, who has been named in the Montenegro squad for their qualifiers against England and Moldova.

A trio of City stars will join up with the Spain squad for World Cup qualifiers against Belarus and Georgia - Jesus Navas, David Silva and Alvaro Negredo have been given the nod.

Elsewhere, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy have both been selected in Didier Deschamps' France squad to face Finland in their World Cup Qualifier on Tuesday 15 October.

Last time out, Samir came off the bench to fire his country into the lead against Belarus, and he will be hoping his recent good form for club and country will merit a start as Les Bleus aim to make up ground on Group I leaders Spain.

Another man hoping to book his place at Brazil 2014 is Edin Dzeko who has unsurprisingly been named in the Bosnia squad for their qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Lithuania.

Aleksandar Kolarov and Matija Nastasic are in the Serbia squad for a friendly against Japan and their final qualifier against Macedonia, while Yaya Toure will join up with the Ivory Coast squad for their play-off against Senegal.

Vincent Kompany has also been called up for Belgium for the games against Croatia and Wales.

Further afield, Sergio Aguero and Pablo Zabaleta are both part of Alejandro Sabella's Argentina squad to face Peru and Uruguay.

The Argentines have already booked their place in Brazil, becoming the first South American side to qualify for the tournament.

Costel Pantilimon completes our list of 16 players to be called up for their nations and, as ever, we'll be bringing you a full round-up of their exploits here on next week.
