David Silva, Martin Demichelis and Pablo Zabaleta are the three nominations for the April Etihad Player of the Month award.

All three players are in with a strong chance of winning the penultimate Etihad prize of the season - but your vote could make all the difference. Here's why they were selected...

David Silva

A brilliant month by City’s Spanish magician who is looking for a second successive award. Silva was at his buzzing, creative best during April. Inspirational in the games against Southampton and West Brom, he almost single-handedly inspired a dramatic comeback against Liverpool by scoring a goal and then forcing an own goal before almost grabbing a third soon after. All the more impressive considering he's been injured for the best part of two months and yet is still superb week in, week out. A strong contender.

Martin Demichelis

A second successive nomination for a player who is rapidly becoming a cult hero for many City fans. Demichelis was at his very best during April, with a string of impressive displays as well as earning man-of-the-match honours against West Brom. He finished the month with a faultless performance against Palace and his season just keeps getting better – can he win this month’s award? Will you go for Martin as your choice?

Pablo Zabaleta

Always there or thereabouts when the Player of the Month awards are considered, Zabaleta continues to be City’s Mr Dependable and enjoyed yet another solid month during April. The granite-built full-back even managed to find the net in the 3-1 win over West Brom and was part of a watertight back four in the 2-0 win over Palace. Will Zaba's rare goal edge your decision?

The poll closes at noon (GMT), Sunday 4 May and don't forget that one lucky UK voter will get to present the prize to the winning player in person at Carrington - plus one overseas winner will receive a personal video message. Vote now!
