Kompany cranks up the pressure

Skipper Vincent Kompany has called on City to lay down a lunch-time marker to their Premier League title rivals against Norwich.
Manuel Pellegrini's men are first to play this weekend when they take on the relegation-threatened Canaries at Carrow Road.
Second-placed Tottenham visit Aston Villa on Sunday, before leaders Leicester enterain Newcastle on Monday. Arsenal and United are in FA Cup action against Watford and West Ham respectively.
Belgian centre-back Kompany, who has been in typically imperious form since returning from injury, reckons that schedule gives City the opportunity to land an early psychological blow and he said: "Everyone knows there are no easy games in the Premier League. We'll go and face a team who need the points desperately, they are on a very bad run at the moment and it's that time of year when they're fighting for their lives.
"Luckily it's the same situation for us but at the other end of the table, we're also in the same position where we can't really afford to lose points. I think the two teams will be lined up to win the game.
"It's just a tough fixture, 12.45pm on a Saturday. It'd be great to be the first team out to win and to put a bit of pressure on the other teams."
