Community Shield: Essential travel information

British Transport Police insist that all Manchester City supporters travelling to the Community Shield at Villa Park on Sunday use Witton Station.
Fans travelling by rail to Villa Park for Sunday’s Community Shield showdown with Chelsea are instructed by British Transport Police to travel to use Witton Station, rather than Aston when connecting from Birmingham New Street.
Chelsea fans are to use Aston station.
Please allow plenty of time for your journey, it will be very busy in the vicinity of the stadium and at all transport terminals in the hours leading up to kick-off.
Train journeys from Manchester Piccadilly to Witton will take approximately two hours, including the change at Birmingham New Street.
They leave on the hour from 8:27 which arrives at 10:26, 9:27 arriving at 11:26 and 10:27 which arrives at 12:26.
Kick-off is at 13:30 for the Community Shield sponsored by McDonalds and City's tickets are now sold out.
