There's exclusive & then there's exclusive

Emmanuel Adebayor's reflections on September's controversial clash with his former club resurface again this morning in the form of an "exclusive" in the Daily Mirror.
Except that it's not quite as exclusive as you might think, the majority of Ade's words having been broadcast in an interview with CNN a few weeks ago. It's all very familiar stuff, having cropped up in some papers a while ago, with the striker regretting his clash with Robin van Persie thus:
"I regret it but we’re all human beings. Cristiano Ronaldo has made mistakes, Sir Alex Ferguson apologised recently for the things he said about Alan Wiley and even Barack Obama will make mistakes - he’s only human."
The pair are unlikely to be facing each other in next month's Carling Cup tie, the Dutchman having sustained a nasty ankle injury while on international duty, with the Mail saying, "Robin van Persie’s injury threatens to stop him lining up against former team-mate Emmanuel Adebayor in next month’s Carling Cup quarter-final at Manchester City.
"Van Persie was keen to play after a stormy Barclays Premier League clash in September in which Adebayor stamped on his face and provoked travelling fans after scoring in a 4-2 win for his side."
Last week's story about Robinho meeting up with the Brazil squad in Doha rumbles on, with his national boss Dunga widely quoted as saying, "I didn't declare war on any European club. People have said Brazil needs to be more organised, so that's exactly what we have done."
But over on Merseyside it sounds like the pressure's on ahead of our lunchtime appointment at Anfield. No less an authority than Ian Rush opines, "Put simply, this is a game that Liverpool cannot afford to lose; it’s going to be a stiff enough task climbing back into the top four from our current position.
"But if City happen to take another three points off us, we are going to find problems in trying to pass so many rivals in the second half of the campaign; for that reason alone, we can’t slip up again."
