As top-flight domestic matters get put on hold around the international fixture list, there's a bit of a gap as far as hard news is concerned.
But if you were worried that there would be little in the way of City-related transfer talk, then fret ye not!
"Mancini has lost patience with striker Mario Balotelli and will axe him from Eastlands this summer unless there is a dramatic improvement in his behaviour.
"And the ruthless Italian coach has made Zlatan Ibrahimovic his No.1 target as he gets set to go on another multi-million pound spending spree." And so-on, in a highly speculative piece that adds that, "Mancini is a huge fan of Ibrahimovic’s and reckons he would be a huge hit in the Premier League."
Out of the side but not short of intelligent analysis of how our season is shaping up, that's Shay Given, who as you will have seen on this site is in Abu Dhabi to coach at the Etihad Manchester City soccer school. He's also spoken to local paper The National on how the holy grail of Champions League football is tantalisingly within reach, saying:
"To bring Champions League football to the City of Manchester Stadium [Eastlands] and teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid - looking back years ago, that would have been fantasy stuff to the fans, but now there's a realistic chance of it happening."
Elsewhere, Goal.com and others report that Nigeria's Samson Siasia coach is waiting for a decision from Nedum Onuoha as to whether he might decide to play for his side. TalkSport.com claims that we are in a five-way fight for the services of Hoffenheim full back Andreas Beck, having last week "revealed" that we have been "monitoring" the 23-year-old.
