A new contract for David Silva and moves for Guidetti and Bridge on another busy day on Fleet Street…

Rumours linking David Silva with a transfer to Real Madrid appear to be abating, as the Daily Star reports that the 26-year old is ready to sign a new long-term deal at City.

“City officials met his advisers in Spain last week while Silva was busy helping his country win Euro 2012 and he is set to sign in the next few days," writes Paul Brown.

Silva said: “My home is at City and I am totally satisfied there. My head is not at Real Madrid but at Manchester City.

“I’m grateful for my experience at City and I have improved as a player, in every sense, since I joined them. I didn’t know if I was capable of playing like this when I left Valencia.”

Elsewhere, the emphasis was very much on outgoings at the Etihad Stadium, with Wayne Bridge and John Guidetti being linked with moves around the country.

Sky Sports report that Brighton are eyeing a swoop for Bridge.

“The Championship side have lined up a deal to bring the former England international to the Amex Stadium on loan," according to Sky.

“Seagulls boss Gus Poyet has made a new left-back one of his top priorities this summer and he is hoping to pull off a coup in luring Bridge to the Championship.”

Meanwhile, John Guidetti has been tipped to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer after scoring 20 goals in 23 matches for Feyenoord last season.

“Both Newcastle and Sunderland are ready to compete for Guidetti, but the interest from around Europe is huge.

“The likes of Inter Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina, Sevilla and Borussia Monchengladbach are just some of the clubs looking at the impressive young Swede.”

Finally, one man rumoured to be arriving in Manchester this summer is Cruzeiro wonderkid Leo Bonatini. City allegedly face competition from Juventus for the fast, clinical striker according to the Metro.

“I've received a proposal from Juventus, as well as from Manchester City, which incidentally is the latest among those that have reached me,' Bonatini told the Brazilian media.

“At the moment, the leadership of the Cruzeiro do not seem willing to consider my transfer.”

Don’t forget, all incomings and outgoings are only official if they’re posted on our site.
