Milner not getting carried away

James Milner is very much on-message when it comes to assessing City's Premier League title prospects.
While there has been a lot of justifiable pleasure at Monday night's derby win, the vibe that emerged almost immediately afterwards was that nothing has been won yet and Sunday's trip to Newcastle will be a tough one.
The Magpies' win at Chelsea on Wednesday underlined that and James is predictably level-headed about what's in store.
The Sun's Martin Blackburn has grabbed a word with the England midfielder, stating that our next game, "...could not be much tougher as they travel to St James’ Park to face the Toon, who have lost just twice at home all season.
"Milner spent four years on Tyneside and admits City still have it all to do to claim their first title since 1968.
"The midfielder said: 'The game against United was massive and a big result for us — but we can’t get carried away.
“'We’ve got two games left and it will be just as difficult, maybe even harder, going away to St James’ at the weekend.
“'That’s obviously the next thing on our minds. If we can get a good result there then it’s in our hands.'”
Monday night still reverberates around the world, with the Jakarta Globe full of praise for Roberto Mancini.
"Not for the first time this season, City manager Roberto Mancini outthought Ferguson. The last time they met in the league, in October, City won 6-1. Ferguson called it his worst defeat in a half-century of football.
"To avoid a repeat, Ferguson erected barricades on Monday. But it didn’t work. He lost his cool, exchanging furious words and yap-yap-yap hand gestures with Mancini on the touchline. That suggested the extent to which the challenge from City is unsettling the peace of mind and legacy of the manager who has seen everything."
Other good news is that David Silva has declared he's very happy at City after a successful first two years here; take a look at FootballFanCast's version for of his Mancunian state of mind.
