Well, we’ve reached the end of what has been a relatively quiet transfer window, with the exception of one story of course!

As the clock continues to tick, there is still some speculation out there that the Blues may bolster their squad before the window slams shut.

TalkSPORT have looked very closely at the gap Mario Balotelli looks likely to leave, subject to completion of a medical in Milan.

They have listed Fabio Quagliarella of Juventus and Valencia’s Roberto Soldado (among others) as possible replacements.

“Mario Balotelli's imminent departure for Milan may not be a shock for Man City supporters, but it does leave them with one striker less and only hours to add another,” the website reports.

“One man who could be available is Juventus man Fabio Quagliarella, with claims in Italy that the Old Lady are prepared to offload a forward after signing Nicolas Anelka.”

On that note, Balotelli attracted a huge crowd when he landed in Italy to meet AC Milan’s vice-president Adriano Galliani last night.

According to The Telegraph there were ‘wild scenes’ as fans gathered outside a city centre restaurant.

“Hundreds of fans turned out to greet their new hero, with some sporting a number 45 shirt – the same number the 22 year-old striker wore at Inter Milan and at City,” the paper reports.

“Fans sang and chanted noisily outside the restaurant.”

Meanwhile, The Express claims Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have made no secret of their interest in signing Edin Dzeko, however the move - if it were to go ahead – would allegedly involve a pay cut.

“Dzeko has been continually linked with a move away from the Etihad this window,” writes Charles Perrin.

“The Bundesliga club have a strict wage budget in place and Dzeko would have to adhere to this if he wants to go ahead with a move.”

Finally, London commuters got a surprise when Roberto Mancini hoped on to the London underground en route to The Emirates to watch Arsenal take on Liverpool last night!

The Daily Mail have this morning printed a picture of the City boss complete with trademark overcoat and scarf on his way to check out Sunday’s opponents.
