Remember, remember the fifth of November...
Yes, it’s Bonfire Night in the UK but City’s players have an explosive UEFA Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow at the forefront of their minds.
We already know that Vincent Kompany and Stevan Jovetic will definitely miss the encounter but there are plenty of other selection dilemmas for Manuel Pellegrini to chew over before this evening’s game.
Whoever the Chilean selects will be hoping to play City into the knockout rounds for the very first time.
“It was for nights such as these that Manuel Pellegrini was drafted in,” Dominic King of the Daily Mail argues in this morning’s paper.
“With the pressure on and the stakes high, he must justify his reputation for producing results in the Champions League.
“Tuesday is potentially a huge night in Manchester City’s history. After a couple of botched campaigns in this competition, they can take a significant step by finally progressing to the knockout stages.
“Should they repeat the result they achieved in Moscow two weeks ago, City will have crossed the line with two games to spare."

“Pellegrini will have delivered on one of the objectives that would have been non-negotiable when he was in talks to replace Roberto Mancini.”
Don’t forget, you can combine your Bonfire Night celebrations with attending City’s crucial Champions League encounter tonight by arriving at the BT City Square for 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, City’s goalkeeper situation remains in focus across the back pages, with a new name being added to the list of potential targets.
Galatasaray custodian Fernando Muslera is the latest to be linked with a summer switch to the Etihad Stadium.
"To play there [in England] is my childhood dream," he reportedly told journalists in Turkey. "Every player wants to play in England, but it is my club who will make the decision.
"I am happy here, I am a Galatasaray fan. Anyway, if a great offer comes at the end of the season, the president will decide."
Remember that official transfer dealings will be reported here on mcfc.co.uk first - only when the deal is done.
Speaking of the Goalkeepers’ Union, Joe Hart has received backing from an unlikely source… Manchester United no.1, David de Gea.
The ex-Atletico Madrid stopper believes that Hart is too good not to win back his place in the City team.
"Joe Hart is a great keeper," De Gea told FIFA.com.
"It's very complicated to play at the top level and to never make mistakes.
"I am sure he will work very hard to go back into the first 11 and sooner or later he will make it."
...David de Gea...
Finally, the official Fantasy Football game of the Barclays Premier League has confirmed what City supporters have known for the last two years… Sergio Aguero is the best in the business.
According to the weekly round-up of top point scorers of the gameweek, Sergio claimed the most bonus points in his role in the 7-0 win over Norwich.
“Sergio Aguero was the top Bonus Points System scorer in Gameweek 10 as he produced a dazzling display in Manchester City’s 7-0 rout over Norwich City.
“The Argentinean striker scored, claimed three assists and completed four key passes as he constantly threatened the Canaries’ backline.”
Time to play those wildcards now…
