EDS

City on Leigh*:

Left-back Greg enjoyed an excellent 2012/13 season, earning his first England u19s cap and receiving a nomination for the Academy Player of the Year title at City Live.

Leigh hails from Sale and was signed by City from Sale United in 2004 after being spotted by City scouts. A pacey modern full-back, Gregg is not only adept at halting opposition wingers but can also trouble the opposing right-back by bombing on to the byline.

He can also find the back of the net in open play and in the air from set-pieces, as highlighted by his decent return of four goals in 2011/12. Leigh has been a regular for City EDS in the last two seasons, both at home and in Europe.

Greg made his debut for England u19s against Denmark in February 2013 and has won four caps at this level to date.

He had another good season in 2013/14, playing 25 times for Patrick Vieira's side and scoring in the Manchester derby with a header from a corner.

On 12 August 2014, Greg joined Crewe Alexandra on loan until 5 January 2015.
