City on Hiwula:
Free-scoring striker Jordy Hiwula has been a regular name on the scoresheet for the Academy over the past few years has cemented his reputation as a bankable match winner for England at youth level too.
Hiwula was an inspirational figure for City in 2012's Al Ain International Juniors Championships winning side, scoring in three matches against Valencia, Al Ain and the UAE national team.
Capable of scoring all types of goals, Hiwula struck up a prolific partnership with Devante Cole at Academy level before a knee injury curtailed his involvement in the 2012/13 season.
The Stretford-Schooled striker scored twice against Middlesbrough at the Etihad Stadium at the start of the 2012/13 season but suffered an injury which ended his campaign shortly after.
He got off to a perfect start to 2013/14 by bagging the golden boot at the Oberndorf Tournament in August 2013 and he continued in this rich vein of goalscoring form, netting on 19 occasions in 30 games for the EDS in all competitions.
He finished as top scorer by some margin and signed a new two-year deal at the club in April 2014.
