City on Ambrose:
Before coming to City in 2013, Thierry Ambrose dazzled for Auxerre’s youth teams, representing the u17 and u19 age groups while still just 15 years of age.
Able to play as a striker or anywhere in behind the main forward, Thierry played a defining role in their capture of the Northern Premier League title in 2013/14. Ambrose scored 22 goals in 32 appearances in all, marking himself out as "one to watch" at the club.
Thierry's hero is namesake Thierry Henry of Arsenal and France fame and it's easy to see why when you see the youngster play, as he drifts in from wide, making it difficult for opposition defenders to pick him up.
The Parisian is also a deceptively tough player, equally adept at tracking back to win the ball to halt promising opposition moves as he is at turning up in the right space at the right time to tap/slam/head home crucial goals.
Thierry earned a pro deal in July 2014 and went straight into Patrick Vieira's Elite Development Squad. He was rewarded for his fine start to the 2014/15 season when he was named on the bench for the first-team for the first time on 20 December when Crystal Palace visited the Etihad.
A knee injury suffered in December 2015 against Borussia Monchengladbach cut short his 2015/16 campaign and Ambrose will now be focusing on returning to action next season.
