Date of birth

Place of birth
Manchester, England

A pacey versatile player capable of playing at full-back, wing-back and on the wing, Smith-Brown possesses good positional awareness, tricky feet and lightning pace, providing coverage down the flanks at both ends of the pitch.
Capped at England u16 level, Ashley caught the eye in England’s recent success in the Montaigu Tournament in Vendée. This tournament has a reputation as a proving ground for young players to break through and make a name for themselves, which this two-footed player certainly did in 2012.
Ashley made his City u18s debut in September 2011 against Nottingham Forest at right-back – he was 15-years old at the time and City went on to win 2-1.
