My dad took me to Maine Road for the first time this year and we played Bury a game which got me hooked not just because City won 4.0 but the whole atmostphere was fantastic I know we have had more lows than highs but I still go back for more,after all thats what being a City fan is all about,

The first game that i remember going to is Porto. One of the reasonis that when Porto Were warming up. A porto player got his foot stuck in the sprinkler and broken his leg I think

I was 3 years old at the time,my dad told me that it was the most important game of citys morden history it was a playoff final agaisnt gilligham.my favourite player was nick weaver and shaun goater all i could here was blue moon you saw me standing alone with out a dream in my heat without a love of my own… the game went to penalties and at the end nicky weaver saved a pen to win the gamehe did a celeabration what i have never seen before, it was amazing then on the way home i was singing blue moon

As a nine-year-old on 9th January 1960 at last my dad had taken me to a game. One-nil up against Southampton in the FA Cup until the muddy conditions laid our defence on its backside. After the third division’s Saints’ nap hand delivered a now too familiar slap in the face, “under the arm” the strongest words that I heard in the Kippax, had to be explained to me and the way the fans made space for a young ‘un was truly gracious. The humour then and now, the ethos of the club (it can never change no matter how much money is thrown at it) the results -nowt’s changed!

my first game was at maine rd in 85 we were playing everton.me and my dad went to the game and the only tickets he could get were in the maine stand behind the POST didnt see much and we lost god i love the blues !!!!!

My first game was the early 60s with me sat on my dads shoulders aged 6 armed with my scarf & rattle Johhny Crossen was captain long b4 the glory days of colin bell mike summerbee and franny (dive in the box Lee)Now i only hope to live long enough to see those glory days again.come on Sparky,bring us some glory

it was my first city match cant remember what year in 70s i think we were away too aston villa me n my brother both city fans cousin was a red n his mate another mate was a villa fan i hated having too walk with villa fans hearing them abuse city fans travelling too ground a local d j a certain tony butler was ranting on the radio saying city fans were wasting their time coming to villa as city were going too get well beaten .the atomsphere was amazing when joe corrigan came to villa fans terraces me n my brother we cheering like mad only dissapointment was having too leave ground with city leading 2-1 because the villa fan didnt want too get catch up in traffic later we heard city had won 4-1 what a day city fans were fantastic at times out singing the home fans

My dad took me to the classical Maine Road when I was only 3. I was so excited the atmosphere was electric. The only memory I have of the game was a comical moment at half time when bluemoon and Norwich’s mascot the canary, they shook the hands of fans and I told my dad “we should’ve brought some bread for the bird2 I thought it was real.

City beat a strong Everton side 2-0 (Bell and Lee)in round 4 of the cup. But it was the electric atmosphere that night that will live with me forever. I sat on a wall in the old scoreboard end at Maine Road and was transfixed by the colour of the pitch, the size of the Kippax, the glow of matches and lighters in the crowd, and the brilliant green of the pitch (we only saw football in black and white in those days). I was just hooked. My brother-in-law’s brother took me on the bus from Middleton - I was 11 years old and had been desperate to see a live game.

My greatest game came a few months later when we beat Shalke 5-1 in the CWC semi-final - there has never been a performance to beat that since by any City side.
