New for 2014/2015 season at the Etihad

We’ve been working away very quietly over the summer on some exciting menu developments here at the Etihad.
Our team of Chefs have been working tirelessly on new items for the menus and developing some of our wonderful menu items from last season.
Our Fabulous Fan Fayre kiosks has had a menu makeover, with changes made to the core products being sold.
The first change sees two stunning new pies which include the introduction of a Beef Bourguignon and Chicken & Ham Pie. The Beef Bourguignon is filled with lean chunks of tender beef, button mushrooms, a red wine jus and delicate herbs. The Chicken & Ham is filled with large pieces of chicken breast, cured local ham and a light cream sauce. Both pies are encased in a crusty, hand crimped pastry and served with skin on crispy fries and gravy.
The Black and Blue Burger is a 6oz Cajun spiced burger, blue cheese mayo, crispy bacon, southern fried onion, iceberg lettuce and tomato served on a brioche bun will be available to purchase from our Fabulous Fan Fayre kiosks.
They will also be selling a Foot Long Butcher’s Sausage, a specially made local Pork Sausage, using higher welfare meat and fresh herbs; in a soft roll served with caramelised sweet onions.
We are also offering a fantastic Stromboli which is a rolled pizza dough, tomato & herb sauce with mozzarella cheese. It’s baked in the oven and finished with a splash of garlic butter.
Across all food concessions we have introduced a Pizza Slice, Garlic Dough Balls and a great combination meal deal.
The Pizza slice is a stone baked based, with a fresh tomato and herb sauce and mozzarella cheese finished with a sprinkle of oregano. The garlic dough balls are made from a 48 hour proofed dough, flashed in the fryer before being smothered in garlic butter and parsley.
Outside, we’ve introduced a Chicken Shack which will sell a Chicken Burger, Spicy Chicken Goujons and a 2 Piece Marinated Chicken meal. Situated opposite the Star/Summerbee Bars, it is ideally located for those visiting the City Square before or after the game. The City Chippy will also see the introduction of Battered Sausage to enhance the menu offering.
We have introduced the Foot Long Butcher’s Sausage to every food van around the stadium, for those with a hearty pre-match appetite. At the Blue Moon Café, we will run a series of match day special dishes which include Beef Stew, Lancashire Hot Pot, Keema Curry and Chilli Con Carne. We have upgraded our beef burger from a 4oz patty to a 6oz 100% British beef burger. The beef is locally sourced and higher welfare. The beef patty is seasoned before cooking and served on a soft brioche bun with iceberg lettuce, tomato and house dressing.
We’ve worked on our pies which have changed from those we had at the beginning of last season, giving an even better product. The Potato & Meat, Peppered Steak and Chicken Balti pies have all undergone a makeover meaning we have an even tastier product than before. The Potato & Meat Pie was awarded Silver in the British Pie Awards 2014, Football Pie Class.
In our Spud Stands, we’ve changed out the Jacket Potatoes and replaced them with oven baked Potato Wedges, served with sour cream or salsa. These stands will also continue to sell our Homemade Chef’s Soup of the Day and Nachos, made up of corn tortilla chips, with a melted nacho cheese and fresh chillies served with a homemade salsa.
