Introducing an exciting new membership scheme aimed at City’s legions of fans at home and around the world, with the goal of bringing its members closer than ever before to the Club they love.

Cityzens, the name of the new members’ community, has been designed from the ground up with inputs and ideas collected from City fans of all ages in Manchester, the wider UK and abroad.

Packed with a multitude of benefits and money can’t buy experiences, Cityzens is designed to enable fans to participate more actively in the club’s decisions, experience the club more deeply, and deliver more value-for-money rewards.

Not only will new members signing up receive a welcome gift pack to celebrate their membership with exclusive Cityzens products, tailored to their age group, ranging from a  scarf, mini-football and wrist band, but they will also be able to personalise their Cityzens card.

In a Premier League first, City fans now have the ability truly to express their passion for the Club by personalising their Cityzens card which can serve as their Seasoncard. So whether it’s cherished images of their first born, spouse, favourite player or family pet, they will always have a place close to their heart while supporting their favourite team.

Cityzens can also look forward to voting on key Club decisions, such as influencing how City allocate funds to charity projects around the world, or naming the streets at the new City Football Academy, which opens soon.

In addition, Cityzens will have access to priority purchase windows for tickets to matches including derbies and Cup finals, as well as post and pre-season tour games around the world, ensuring they are first in line for the big matches, before they sell out.

Members will also receive exclusive content such as receiving first-to-know messages on some of the Club’s most important news, plus free access to the City Editions app which contains digital match-day programmes.

Further benefits include in-store and online retail discounts on Club merchandise, in addition to concessions on Etihad Stadium Tours.

All supporters will continue to be awarded points when they buy their Seasoncard, Membership or match tickets. As a result of this new membership scheme, Loyalty Points will now be known as Ticket Points. Apart from a new name, Ticket Points will be awarded in the same way, and deliver our fans with the same benefits, as Loyalty Points.

Access to match tickets will continue to be prioritised by the number of Ticket Points held and any further qualifying sales criteria.

An exciting new addition to our Cityzens package is City Points. Designed to reward members for Club engagement, the more fans participate by engaging with the Club, the more City Points they can earn. City Points, which can be earned by activities such as purchasing Club merchandise or engaging with the Club’s social media (up to a specified cap) can then be used to access unique members-only money can’t buy experiences, such as having lunch with the squad at the new City Football Academy, asking a question at a post-match press conference, boarding the team plane for an away match or challenging the players on EA’s FIFA15.

International fans from all corners of the world will also have the chance to win dream trips to Manchester to watch Manuel Pellegrini’s men in action at the Etihad Stadium, while young members will be able to access games, competitions and content through the Junior Cityzens online portal, where they can participate in unique experiences like escorting a player on match-days.

Commenting on the launch of Cityzens, Diego Gigliani, Director of Marketing, Media and Fan Development for Manchester City, said:

“As the Club continues to grow around the world, we wanted a single membership programme that brings all our fans together wherever they live in the world.

“Cityzens not only rewards fans with unforgettable experiences for their incredible support and participation, but also empowers them to influence key Club decisions, giving them a real voice and real value.”

Cityzens is priced £35 per year for adults and £25 for under 16s.
