EDS v Slovan Liberec: Match preview

City EDS will look to complete their week-long visit to Germany with a win over Czech side Slovan Liberec on Friday.

The Blues, who have lost their previous two games on German soil, will be hoping to regain the form that saw the youngsters thrash HNK Gorica 4-0 earlier this month.

On that occasion, a hat-trick from Jordi Hiwula and a Thierry Ambrose strike sealed an impressive triumph.

Since then though, Patrick Vieira's side have fallen to two 2-1 defeats at the hands of Bayern Munich and FC Nurnberg, despite breaking the deadlock in both encounters.

Vieira will be seeking an immediate response to the two setbacks to ensure his players rekindle the winning feeling ahead of the upcoming Robinsons Brewery Manchester CFA Senior Cup Final clash with Manchester United.

The Blues' boss shuffled the pack for the game against Nurnberg, so Friday's test may see a line-up which could include those in contention for Thursday's Final.

Tickets for that tie are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for children, and can be purchased online until Tuesday or at the ticket office until Thursday.

Kick-off for the Slovan Liberec clash is at 13:30 BST at the Hotel Marc Aurel Resort (Heiligenstädter Straße 34, 93333 Neustadt, Germany).

We'll have a match report right here on after full-time.
