Juventus have found their true form again just in time, with a trip to the City of Manchester Stadium next on their Europa League agenda.
Striker Fabio Quagliarella was back among the goals yesterday as Juve - due here to face the Blues on September 30 - strolled to a 4-0 victory over Serie A strugglers Udinese.
Quagliarella, who scored a cheeky back-heeled second from a Milos Krasic cross, warned his team-mates that they can't now assume normal service is resumed despite coasting to their first win of the season.
He cautioned: "What counts is the result, and we must continue. We came off the back of two bad experiences and we can't let ourselves get carried away with the result against Udinese."
Juventus took an early lead through Leonardo Bonucci, and both Claudio Marchisio and substitute Iaquinta also scored. Expect a lively Europa League tie here - tickets for the match are still available in our fabulous 3 for 2 offer.
Salzburg are struggling to regain their composure after that home defeat by the Blues. The shock waves are still resonating as they lick their wounds from a second-round Austrian Cup defeat by Blau Weiss Linz.
The regional league leaders won 3-1 in front of a 4,100 crowd, and Salzburg sporting director Dietmar Beiersdorfer admitted: "It can't get any worse than that. We need to get through this and not lose our nerve."
Polish outfit Lech Poznan, the other team in City's group, are still basking in their 3-3 draw at Juventus as they prepare for Friday's demanding Ekstraklasa trip to Legia Warsaw.
